Long Range Systems has
demonstrated at the recent Restaurant show in Olympia, London UK, a method of testing their
'Coaster Call' pagers for three days of 'torturous hell'. Managing Director Anthony McKenzie
commented 'We have invented a particularly despicable testing environment called the 'chamber of
death' which has subjected our Coaster Call pagers to THREE DAYS of water soaking, temperature and
Battery stamina checks. This is probably the worst environment that any pager could possibly
survive and is certainly worse than any real life environment. We tested four of our Coaster Call
pagers and they all worked continuously for over 8 hours each day - in itself a tribute to the
superb and patented design of the LRS Coaster Call.'
These are the same coasters we
still sell today - without modification - just imagine how
good these really are - that's why many of the top UK
companies use them.

McKenzie continued 'We also asked the J-tech
representative in the UK to contribute one of their coaster pagers to the three day test, however,
they flatly refused to participate. Our only conclusion was that maybe their product was just not
quite up to this rigorous and severe testing.'
We understand.
LRS says that they will now occasionally
include the 'chamber of death' test at all shows they attend within Europe and they throw down the
gauntlet for any other company to contribute a Coaster pager and 'outlive' the LRS products in this
test.
